Needs a revamp. It shows that very little attention and budget has been given to this airport. Boring airport. Shops should be added. Very limited chairs so you will see many passengers just sitting on the floor. Then the numbering of gates is a bit confusing.
I've been to many airports around the world and this is the worst by far. Pike at security was beyond unpleasant when I asked for my film to be checked manually. Never had a problem anywhere else but here. "I can't do that". Yes you can sweetie, is just that you're too gen Z and have no idea to do anything if is not behind a screen. Point apart that the place feels like a greenhouse.
Unprofessional behavior from airport agents I was truly disappointed by the behavior of the security agents at Nantes Airport during my flight to Algiers. After asking me to show the liquids in my hand bag -- which I fully understand -- they started laughing at my belongings because I had several perfumes (all perfectly within the allowed limit). Their attitude made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I believe airport staff should perform their duties seriously and not make jokes about passengers' personal items. It's not the first time I've had this kind of experience here, which makes it even more disappointing. Respect and professionalism should be basic values in an international airport.
The best part about this airport is eventually getting to leave. Multiple long, exhausting queues full of annoyed passengers with nowhere to sit and with no information on why people are waiting, in very uncomfortable temperatures and rooms. Many people in such queues came close to missing their flight. Organisation is nonexistent in this airport and it doesn't even make up for it with nice amenities such as stores or newer buildings. The staff is nothing to complain about but this whole thing is horribly designed and run.
