Very beautiful airport! I was pleasantly surprised by the large indoor fountain and all the greenery inside. It's well connected to the city and has a calm, pleasant atmosphere a great place to arrive or depart from in Ankara.
I have an amazing experience in Esenboga Airport. It's not so crowded. I had late night flight and I had quite time at Cafe. Airport itself is not crowded. Workers are hospitable and smiling
A more than a decent airport. No long lines at the entrance or security check. Many self check-in counters, so everything goes really smooth. Many shops and restaurants, no problem with getting something to eat. Staff was also very professional and helpful. There are many buses to get you to the city center.
Transit area is lacking to connect to WiFi you use your passport and code. 2 food outlets and quiet. Has a play area for kids. Somewhat easy to navigate
Ankara Esenboga Airport (ESB) serves as the primary international gateway to Turkey's capital city, Ankara, and the surrounding Central Anatolia region. Located approximately 28 kilometers northeast of the city center in the Cubuk district, the airport handles a mix of domestic and international flights, connecting Ankara to major hubs in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. As one of Turkey's busiest airports, it plays a critical role in both business and leisure travel, supporting the capital's political, diplomatic, and commercial activities.
The airport offers a range of on-site services designed to meet passenger needs. These include facilities for travelers with reduced mobility, such as a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring ease of access throughout the terminal. Clean and well-maintained toilets are available for public use. For those traveling by car, two paid parking options are provided: a multi-storey car park and a separate paid parking lot. Both are securely managed and conveniently located near the terminal. Additional on-site services may include currency exchange, shops, and food outlets, but these are not confirmed in the provided data.
Ankara Esenboga Airport is not open all days of the week, according to the information available. The peak hours for passenger traffic are recorded at 10 PM and 11 PM, indicating a busy period during late evening departures or arrivals. Travelers are advised to check their flight schedules carefully, as the airport may have limited operating hours on certain days. It is recommended to confirm flight timings and airport access with your airline before traveling, especially during off-peak seasons.
For inquiries regarding flight information, parking, lost and found, or general assistance, passengers can reach the airport's official contact point. The telephone number is +90 312 590 40 00. Additionally, the airport maintains a website at http://www.esenbogaairport.com/, which likely provides real-time flight updates, terminal maps, and details on services and facilities. Both channels are reliable sources for up-to-date information before and during your journey.
While the data confirms only paid parking options, the airport is accessible by various ground transportation methods common to major airports. Taxis, private shuttles, and public buses operate between the airport and Ankara city center, though specific routes or companies are not listed here. For passengers driving themselves, the multi-storey car park and parking lot offer short-term and long-term stays. Payment methods may include cash and credit cards; it is advisable to have local currency on hand. Rates are not provided, but they are typically posted at the entry points.
The airport is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it easier for passengers with mobility challenges to enter the terminal. Additional accessibility features, such as adapted restrooms or assistance services, may be available but are not explicitly confirmed. Passengers requiring special assistance should contact the airport or their airline in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
Located in the Cubuk district, the airport is relatively close to central Ankara, where a wide range of hotels, restaurants, and business facilities can be found. However, the immediate airport vicinity may have limited options; travelers with long layovers should plan accordingly. The airport's website and contact line can provide further details on nearby amenities.
Given the peak hours at 10 PM and 11 PM, travelers should allow extra time for check-in and security during these periods. Always verify your flight status online or via the airport's phone number, as operating hours may vary. For those using the paid parking, note that the multi-storey car park is a covered option that may offer additional protection for vehicles. The airport's wheelchair-accessible entrance ensures basic accessibility for all passengers. Keep in mind that while the data confirms these specific amenities, the airport may offer additional services not listed here—always consult official sources for the most comprehensive and current information.
