Services are infrequent, typically every 30 to 60 minutes, so check the schedule ahead. For drivers, the airport is accessible via the Namhae Expressway (Route 10), with clear signs from the Sacheon interchange. Parking is available directly outside the terminal, with a short walk to the entrance.

Inside the Terminal

The terminal at Sacheon Airport is compact and straightforward. A single building houses all operations on one level. On arrival, passengers exit through a small baggage claim area with one carousel, then step directly into the arrivals hall. The company produces military jets, helicopters, and civilian aircraft components, making Sacheon a quiet but significant industrial hub. Visitors interested in aviation can tour the KAI Aerospace Museum, which displays aircraft models, engine components, and historical exhibits on Korean aviation. The museum is located about 15 minutes from the airport by car.

Beyond aerospace, Sacheon offers a mix of coastal scenery and historical sites. The Sacheon Fortress (Sacheonsanseong) dates to the Joseon Dynasty and overlooks the sea, providing panoramic views of the harbour and surrounding islands. The fortress walls are well preserved and the site is less crowded than similar attractions in larger cities.
