Busiest on Mondays around 10 am — usually a little busy.
the kind of place where goodbyes echo softly and hellos feel like a quiet miracle. I stood there, watching the planes rise like little promises, and for a moment I wondered: how many hearts have been stitched back together in a place this small? They always say, before you fall in love, you should travel first. And maybe they were right. Because somewhere between delayed flights, warm sunsets, and strangers carrying their own stories, I found the version of myself who wasn't afraid to feel deeply again, the version of me who could finally meet you halfway. And in that soft, golden hour, I realized: love isn't always about grand gestures... sometimes it's about choosing someone who feels like a safe landing after a long journey. Without even trying you became that place.
Worst ever airport. Had to wait almost 1 hour for luggage to get to the conveyor belt after arrival. Arrived 12.43 Lion Air from Denpasar, luggage comes out at 13:40. Terrible service, worst I've seen. Even much smaller airports do better.
It is small but convenient airport near solo, central java. The terminal is clean, not too crowded, and easy to navigate. Check-in, security and boarding are usually smooth. Few shops and outlets are also there, thought options are limited compared to bigger airports. Transportation to solo and nearby cities is straightforward with taxis and buses. A calm and efficient airport for domestic travel.
Convenient with direct train (KA BIAS) to city. Comfortable, clean with Javanese ambiance. Some find food/shops pricey, terminal could be more modern.

Located in Boyolali Regency, it is the primary air gateway for travelers visiting Solo, a historic cultural center, and the nearby attractions of Mount Merapi, the temples of Prambanan and Borobudur, and the royal palaces of Java. The airport handles scheduled domestic flights to major Indonesian cities such as Jakarta, Denpasar (Bali), Surabaya, and others, connecting Central Java to the rest of the archipelago. It is a relatively compact facility, designed to efficiently process regional traffic, and is known for its orderly environment and ease of navigation. The drive from Solo's city center typically takes 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. Local public transportation options are limited; most visitors rely on taxis or app-based car services. Parking is available at the airport, with a paid parking lot confirmed among the amenities.
