Overview

Grobnik Airport (also known as Zračno pristanište Grobnik or sometimes referred to as Soboli Airport) is a small regional airfield located in the western part of Croatia, serving primarily general aviation, flight training, and recreational flying. The airport sits at an elevation of about 300 metres above sea level on the Grobnik plateau, a relatively flat area surrounded by rolling hills and forest. Access to the airport is via local roads connected to the D3 state road and the A6 motorway, which links Rijeka with Zagreb and the rest of the country. By car, the journey from Rijeka city centre takes roughly 20 minutes.
