Overview

Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport (IATA: TAO) is the primary air gateway to Qingdao, a major coastal city in Shandong Province, China. Opened in August 2021, it replaced the older Qingdao Liuting International Airport, which had reached capacity and was located closer to the city center. The new airport was built to handle larger aircraft and rising passenger numbers, serving both domestic and international routes.
