When you imagine a small airport- just imagine it even smaller. Really easy to fly in and out of. They serve Seattle's best coffee and have a good creamer selection in the shop as well. Very small, quick airport to fly out of. We will use it more frequently when traveling to the area for business. Security is very slow and outdated. Their machine that spins around of you flags every guest making it a silly piece of equipment to use here. All and all good flight in and out though
This airport is fine. Not sure why so many bad reviews. It's pretty much what one would expect from a very small airport. The terminal is small but we found seating. Plenty of parking on floor 3 of the garage. Pre check TSA took all of 7 minutes. They have a concession store with tons of snacks including gluten free options. Cheap prices as well. If you're concerned about crowding get here 2-3 hours before your flight.
This airport is a gem. Yes it is super small (just a couple of gates) but the security line moves quickly and they do still have a small shop with some food. You can occasionally find some awesome direct flights out of here so you dont have to go into NYC or Hartford.
It's a very small airport so if your plane doesn't work properly, they can't replace it with another one. So they leave you there for several hours. I would not recommend this place at all.
Westchester County Airport (HPN), also known as the Westchester County Airport, is a regional airport located in West Harrison, New York. It serves as an important alternative to the larger New York City airports, offering a more relaxed and convenient travel experience for passengers flying to and from the lower Hudson Valley, Fairfield County in Connecticut, and the northern suburbs of New York City. The airport primarily handles domestic flights, with non-stop service to destinations across the United States, as well as seasonal international charters. It is a hub for general aviation and a key point of entry for business travelers, leisure visitors, and residents of Westchester County.
Westchester County Airport is situated about 30 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, in the town of North Castle, near the hamlet of West Harrison. By Bicycle: The airport has bike racks, though it is not a common method due to the busy roads leading to the terminal.
Westchester County Airport offers a range of facilities designed to make travel comfortable and efficient.
Terminal: The airport has a single two-story terminal with a distinctive glass atrium. All passenger services are located within this building.
Check-in and Security: There are multiple airline counters and self-service kiosks. TSA PreCheck lanes are available. Security lines are generally shorter than at larger airports.
