I reviewed the passenger reviews - it's hard not to agree with them. The lack of service for passengers is the main problem of the Kryvyi Rih airport. The presence of a toilet and free internet in 2019 is very little, the lack of a catering establishment that would work around the clock, including in restricted areas, is something that should have been addressed long ago and seriously! Let's hope that all complaints from citizens will be taken into account and the shortcomings will be corrected.
As for me, it is very inconvenient! Almost 30 km from Krivoy Rog and arrival if in Kyiv - Boryspil, and this is also +30 km on the road, what's the point of such flights? Yes, they also said that money was allocated for reconstruction, it seems like they have been repairing for a year, nothing is noticeable from the outside) I hope soon there will be beauty and flights somewhere else besides Kyiv!
Kryvyi Rih International Airport is a regional airport serving the city of Kryvyi Rih, a major industrial and mining hub in central Ukraine. Located in the village of Ukrayinka, approximately 20 kilometres west of Kryvyi Rih city centre, the airport handles domestic flights as well as some international charters. It plays an important role in connecting the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast region with other parts of Ukraine and, to a limited extent, destinations abroad. While the airport has a relatively modest passenger traffic compared to Ukraine’s largest hubs, it provides essential air links for business travellers and residents of the Kryvyi Rih metropolitan area. The terminal is a single-story building designed for regional operations.
Kryvyi Rih International Airport offers a limited but practical set of amenities for passengers.
Beyond these confirmed facilities, passengers should note that the airport does not currently offer extensive commercial services such as shops, restaurants, or lounges based on available information. Travellers are advised to come prepared with snacks or personal items if needed, as options within the terminal are minimal.
Kryvyi Rih International Airport does not operate 24 hours a day. It is open only on specific days of the week. According to available data, the airport is not open every day, which likely means flights are scheduled only on certain days. The busiest times at the airport are during the evening, with peak hours around 21:00 and 22:00. This suggests that most flights depart or arrive in the late evening. Passengers should confirm flight schedules and airport opening times directly with their airline or by contacting the airport, as operating hours may vary by season or due to specific flight events.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, airport hours, and available services, it is recommended to contact the airport directly via the phone number above. The official website (hosted on Wikipedia) provides general details but may not reflect real-time operational changes. For flight bookings and specific airline inquiries, passengers should reach out to their respective carriers.
Kryvyi Rih International Airport serves as a key transport node for the Kryvyi Rih agglomeration, which has a population of over 600,000. The city is known for its iron ore mining and steel production, making the airport important for business travel related to the mining and metallurgy sectors. The airport also provides connectivity for passengers traveling to Kyiv, as well as seasonal charter flights to leisure destinations. Despite its limited size, the airport fulfills a vital role in the regional transport network, especially for those seeking an alternative to the larger airports in Dnipro or Zaporizhzhia. The airport's runway is capable of handling medium-range aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families. The facility is owned and operated by the Ukrainian state.
Kryvyi Rih International Airport is a functional facility that meets the basic needs of travellers. While it lacks many common airport amenities, it offers essential services and a convenient location for those flying to or from the Kryvyi Rih region.
