It's very small and easy to navigate. It's crowded yet very organized I checked In and everything in 6 minutes. Don't come early there's nothing to do and not enough seats for setting.

Adana Şakirpaşa Airport (IATA: ADA) is a civil airport located in the Seyhan district of Adana, Turkey. It is the primary air gateway to the Çukurova region, one of Turkey's most fertile and economically significant areas. The airport handles a mix of domestic and international flights, with major carriers such as Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and SunExpress operating regular services to destinations including Istanbul, Ankara, and several European cities. The airport also features a VIP lounge, the Adana Şakirpaşa Havaalani Vip Salonu, designed for business class passengers and those seeking a more comfortable pre-flight experience. The lounge provides an alternative to the main terminal's waiting areas, though detailed amenities are not publicly listed. The airport is a key transport hub for both leisure and business travellers visiting Adana and the surrounding provinces of Mersin, Osmaniye, and Hatay.
The airport is situated approximately 5 kilometres west of Adana city centre, in the Seyhan district. Its proximity to the city makes it easily accessible by various modes of transport. Road access is straightforward via the D400 highway, which connects Adana to other major cities along the Mediterranean coast. Travellers can reach the airport by taxi, which is readily available from any point in the city and takes about 15 minutes from the centre. Alternatively, municipal buses and minibuses (dolmuş) serve the airport, providing an affordable option for passengers. For those driving, the airport offers both short-term and long-term parking facilities near the terminal. The airport also serves the wider region: it is about 45 kilometres from Mersin, an hour's drive from Tarsus, and roughly 90 kilometres from Osmaniye. This makes it a convenient option for travellers from nearby provinces, especially given the limited air connectivity of smaller airports in the area.
While specific amenities of the Adana Şakirpaşa Havaalani Vip Salonu are not confirmed in available sources, the airport's main terminal offers standard facilities expected of a regional airport. These include check-in counters, security screening, baggage claim, and a variety of shops and eateries. Passengers can find cafés and snack bars both before and after security, as well as a duty-free shop for international travellers. The VIP lounge itself is located within the terminal and is accessible to business class passengers, Priority Pass members, or those who purchase a day pass. Typical features of Turkish airport VIP lounges include comfortable seating, complimentary refreshments, Wi-Fi, and a quieter atmosphere. However, as no official list of amenities exists, passengers are advised to check with their airline or the airport's information desk for the most current details. The main terminal also provides ATMs, currency exchange, and a small selection of retail outlets. Accessibility services are available for passengers with reduced mobility, including wheelchair assistance and designated parking.
Adana is the largest city in the Çukurova region, a vast fertile plain known as the 'breadbasket of Turkey'. The area is famous for its agricultural output, particularly cotton, citrus fruits, and olives. Adana itself is a bustling industrial and commercial centre with a rich history dating back to Hittite times. The city is renowned for its cuisine, especially Adana kebab, a spicy minced meat dish served on flatbread, and şalgam, a fermented turnip juice. Key attractions in Adana include the historic Stone Bridge (Taşköprü), the Great Mosque (Ulu Cami), and the Adana Archaeology Museum. The Seyhan River flows through the city, and parks along its banks offer a pleasant retreat. The region also offers cultural experiences such as the annual Adana International Film Festival and the Orange Blossom Carnival. Beyond Adana, the Çukurova region boasts natural beauty: the Taurus Mountains to the north, the Mediterranean coast with beaches along the Mersin shoreline, and historical sites like the ancient city of Tarsus (the birthplace of St. Paul). The airport thus serves not only business travellers but also tourists exploring this diverse area.
The main terminal at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport operates daily, with flights typically running from early morning until late evening. The VIP lounge's hours may differ; note that the lounge is not open 24 hours a day (open all days: False). Passengers should confirm the lounge's operating schedule with their airline or the airport's information desk. For general inquiries, the airport's telephone number and website were not provided in the available data. However, passengers can often find updated information through Turkish Airlines or the airport's official social media channels. It is advisable to arrive at least 2 hours before domestic departures and 3 hours before international flights to allow sufficient time for check-in and security. Currency exchange services are available, but it is recommended to have some Turkish lira for small purchases. For any specific needs, such as lost luggage or special assistance, passengers should contact their airline directly.
