For history enthusiasts, the nearby Capo Colonna Archaeological Park, 10 kilometres north of Crotone, contains the remains of the ancient Greek city of Kroton, including a single standing column of the Temple of Hera Lacinia. The park also has a museum displaying artefacts from the Magna Graecia period.
