I love this airport. Excellent transport to reach other destinations. Polite staff, a fair amount of shops, well certainly more than my usual airport. Loved the takeaway pizza! I found myself needing to use their medical assistance following an allergic reaction to my left eye and was seen in their clinic promptly by friendly and very qualified staff. The service received was outstanding! Their prompt help allowed me to fly with minimal discomfort! Thank you to each one of you, if you read this review. Keep up the amazing work you do. I will fly from this airport more often, hopefully not requiring medical assistance next time! Thank you Turin! Ci rivedremo presto!
One of the worst airports of this size. Once leaving the terminal we're following the "Bus" sign and ended up in a car park while the bus stop was in a completely different part of the airport. It took me nearly half an hour to find it. On the way back it didn't get any better. Definitely not a sufficient sitting space comparing to the number of passengers. It's a little nightmare if you travel with small kids. Everything topped by a rude service on the food counters by non-English speaking staff. I would expect on an airport in a major European city the customers facing staff would know some English.
It is a small airport, but it has everything you will need. Passport and check-in procedures are very fast. When you leave the airport, there is a taxi stand and a train station across the street.
Clean, convenient from London. Many options for Car rental right after checking out. There is bus shuttle to center or using taxi with reasonable price. If you fly back from Turin, lots of nice wine, specialities, chocolates with reasonable prices. There are also Drinks& Coffee bars, toilettes inside where you are waiting on board, you can grab some panini or buy the last minute gifts. Turin Airport has improved to be excellent services!
Torino Airport, also known as Aeroporto di Torino-Caselle or Turin Caselle Airport, is the primary air gateway to the city of Turin (Torino) and the wider Piedmont region in northwest Italy. Located in the municipality of Caselle Torinese, this airport serves a mix of domestic routes, European low-cost carriers, and seasonal charter flights. It is a mid-sized facility that handles millions of passengers annually, connecting the area to major hubs such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, and various Mediterranean destinations. The airport is particularly busy during the winter ski season, when travelers head to the nearby Alps, and during summer for leisure travel. Peak passenger flow typically occurs in the early afternoon, around 2–3 pm, when many departing and arriving flights are scheduled.
Torino Airport sits about 16 kilometers north of Turin’s city center, in the plain of the Po River valley. The surrounding landscape is a mix of agricultural fields and small towns, with the Alps visible on clear days. Access from Turin is straightforward via the A55 motorway (exit for Caselle) or the SS460 state road. By public transport, the most convenient option is the Sadem airport bus, which runs between the airport and Turin’s Porta Susa and Porta Nuova railway stations approximately every 15–30 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes. A dedicated train service also connects the airport to Turin’s Dora station, with a shuttle bus linking the airport terminal to the Caselle aeroporto railway station; the train ride to Turin Porta Susa takes roughly 20 minutes. Taxis are available outside the arrivals area, with fixed fares to central Turin. For those driving, the airport offers a paid parking lot with both short-term and long-term options.
Torino Airport provides a range of passenger amenities, many of which are confirmed as wheelchair-accessible. The car park includes designated accessible spaces, and both the entrance and toilets are designed for wheelchair users. Changing tables are available in the restrooms, making the airport family-friendly. Baggage storage services are offered for passengers who wish to explore the city or region without luggage. Standard toilets are located throughout the terminal. The airport also features a selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants, though these are not specifically listed as confirmed amenities. For business travelers, there is a VIP lounge (Sala Vip), though access conditions should be checked with the airline. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal.
While the airport is open daily, some services — such as baggage storage and retail outlets — may have limited hours, especially during early mornings or late evenings. Passengers are advised to check the official website for current operating times.
Piedmont (Piemonte) is a region of contrasts, known for its dramatic Alpine peaks, rolling vineyard-covered hills, and rich industrial heritage. Turin itself was the first capital of a unified Italy and later became the heart of the Italian automotive industry, home to Fiat, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo. The city boasts one of the finest Egyptian museums in the world, as well as the iconic Mole Antonelliana tower, which houses the National Museum of Cinema. Outside Turin, the region offers world-class wine areas such as Barolo, Barbaresco, and Asti, perfect for enotourism. In winter, ski resorts like Sestriere, Bardonecchia, and Sauze d’Oulx attract skiers and snowboarders from across Europe. The cultural calendar is punctuated by events like the Turin Film Festival, the Salone del Gusto food fair, and the Palio di Asti horse race. For travelers, the airport serves as a convenient entry point to explore both the city and the natural and culinary treasures of the region.
