But the surrounding Chittoor district offers quieter attractions: the ancient Chandragiri Fort, the Talakona waterfall in a nearby wildlife sanctuary, and the low-key hill station of Horsley Hills. The airport’s location makes it a convenient starting point for exploring this part of Andhra Pradesh, though public transport to these sites remains limited – a hired car is advisable.
