Everything is fast. There's no duty-free. There's parking nearby. The staff works well together. Water is not allowed, as is the case everywhere.

Mogilev Airport, officially known as Mezhdunarodnyy aeroport Mogilev — Lubnishche, is a modest regional airport serving the city of Mogilev and the surrounding Mogilev Region in eastern Belarus. It operates primarily as a gateway for domestic travelers within Belarus and a handful of international charter or seasonal flights. While not a major hub, it plays an important role for residents of the region who prefer to avoid the longer journey to Minsk National Airport. The airport handles a relatively low volume of passenger traffic, with flights typically connecting to Minsk or other CIS destinations such as Moscow or Kaliningrad during peak seasons. It is also used for general aviation and occasional cargo operations.
The airport is situated approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) southeast of central Mogilev, near the small village of Lubnishche. Access is via the M4 highway, which connects Mogilev to the Russian border and onwards to Moscow. For passengers driving from Mogilev city center, the journey takes roughly 20–30 minutes by car. There is no direct public transport link to the airport; most travelers rely on taxis or private vehicles. Taxis are available from Mogilev and cost around 15–20 BYN (Belarusian rubles) depending on the company. Some hotels and travel agencies offer shuttle services for charter flights, but arrangements must be made in advance. For those arriving from outside the region, the nearest major airport is Minsk National Airport (MSQ), about 200 km (124 miles) to the west, with frequent bus and train connections to Mogilev.
Despite its small scale, Mogilev Airport provides essential facilities to ensure a comfortable passenger experience. The terminal building is compact but well-maintained, with clear signage in both Russian and English.
The Mogilev Region is one of the six administrative regions of Belarus, located in the eastern part of the country along the Dnieper River. The area is known for its fertile plains, agricultural production (particularly grains, potatoes, and flax), and a mix of light and heavy industry, including machinery, chemicals, and food processing. Mogilev city itself is the third-largest in Belarus, with a population of around 370,000. It boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century, with notable landmarks such as the Mogilev City Hall, the St. Stanislaus Church, and the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War. The airport region attracts both business travelers—often linked to industrial enterprises—and tourists interested in history, architecture, and the scenic Dnieper riverfront. Near the airport, visitors can explore the Lubnishche estate, a historic manor complex, or head into the surrounding countryside for hiking and birdwatching.
For a smooth journey, arrive at least 1.5 hours before a domestic flight and 2 hours before international departures. Given the airport's smaller size, security and check-in processes are generally quick, but it is advisable to confirm any changes directly with the airline or via the airport's website.
