Air Niugini

Air Niugini, the national airline of Papua New Guinea, operates under the IATA code PX and ICAO code ANG. Established in November 1973, the carrier was created following the government’s decision to form a single national flag carrier, taking over domestic and international services previously run by Ansett and Trans Australia Airlines. The airline has remained state-owned throughout its history, with the government of Papua New Guinea holding full ownership.
