I LOVE small airports. Step from runway into baggage retrieval and another few yards to the exit. One week later, returning home. Added videos of the front and main (and only?) hall.

What a nice airport. The staff were extremely pleasant and patient. Security is thorough but they keep the lines moving. Nothing fancy, but very functional. I did notice a car rental space and the parking lot was spacious with plenty of parking spaces. Restrooms were clean and fully stocked. There we vending machines in the waiting areas. Don't expect high end malls. Really enjoyed the flight.

Very small airport, but a good experience here. Arriving is nice and straightforward. You walk off the tarmac and right into Arrivals where the baggage carousel is. Bags were off the plane and in within minutes. The terminal itself has a little area where you can purchase food and drink. It's very small but you can pickup a sandwich, sweet treat, etc. Check-in for departure was easy, no different to anywhere else. The departures process I found a little odd in that there were callouts over the speaker for random passengers to go for a bag search. Due to the size of the place, perhaps? When called for your flight, you head through x-ray with carry-on. Staff were very pleasant at all stages. Nice, easy experience.

Sign of the times that I'm still waiting at the airport over 3 hours after I should have left. All staff at the airport have been fantastic, all very helpful. A great breakfast. Nice to be able to have a bit of a laugh despite what I'm sure is a very hassling time for the staff here. Thankyou all at Stornoway airport. So Google prompted me to update my review from maybe 6 months ago. Has anything changed? My Loganair flight was very efficient with both legs being on time and landing a little early. Is this because Loganair are now super efficient? Sadly no. They were in a rush because they had cancelled the flights the day before and had a large backlog to clear. I'm pleased to report Stornoway airport is still very pleasant and staff are great. 2024 update: One of the few airports still with 3hrs free parking. The daily charge of PS3 per day sounds quite good but soon adds up, and no security guarantee. The old days of a rustic but free car park were much better. Buses to/from are a joke. Still nowhere to stow bike.
