Daladalas (minibus taxis) operate along the Mbalizi road but drop passengers at the junction about one kilometre from the terminal; from there it is a walkable but dusty stretch. For those driving, the runway is visible from the main road, and the airport has a small car park with wheelchair-accessible spaces. Rideshare apps are not common in Mbeya, so pre-arranged hotel transfers or taxi numbers (gathered from your accommodation) are the most reliable methods. The road is paved and well maintained, though occasional livestock crossings require patience.
