The airport is situated in Ghimbav, a commune approximately 10 kilometers northwest of Brașov city center. The nearest major city is Brașov, while other towns like Râșnov and Predeal are within a short drive.

By car, the airport is reached via the DN1 national road (European route E60) which connects Bucharest to Brașov. From Brașov city center, follow signs towards Ghimbav. The journey typically takes 15–20 minutes by car or taxi. On-site parking includes a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it suitable for passengers with reduced mobility.

Public transport options are available but limited. There are regular bus services operated by local transport companies linking the airport to Brașov’s main bus terminal.
