Busiest on Mondays around 8 pm — usually a little busy.
Small airport, departure is very fast but on arrival the immigration area is very small, some of us had to stand outside in the cold whilst we wait and it took some time. On arrival you can talk to the friendly staff who can offer you information and you can buy bus ticket for bus 80 into the city
Small airport. Free wifi, however is better if you bring Polish money and avoid the airport as all the cash machines charge a lot as they are from a network for tourists rather than from Polish banks. Our flight was delayed and bus number 80 that runs to the city was not in service anymore. The guy working in information was however really helpful and he advised us how to reach the city at that time of the day. There are taxis and uber so as we didn't have cash we took an uber ( a taxi turned up so it was fine). The fee is approx 30 z.
Modern airport appeared big as I arrived pre-Covid. A friendly Pole from my flight shared a taxi, showed me a supermarket where you could change money, but would not let me pay the fare to my hotel. I am glad to see the Polish helping people arriving in 2022 too.
A excellent small compact airport with no wait at security or passport control. Airfield has loads of planes parked up in storage. Airport was clean and has cheap cafe and duty free shop. I would recommend.
Bydgoszcz Airport (IATA: BZG), officially known as Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport, is an international airport serving the city of Bydgoszcz and the broader Kuyavian-Pomeranian region of northern Poland. Located in the village of Białe Błota, about 3.5 km southwest of Bydgoszcz's city center, the airport handles a mix of scheduled passenger flights, charter traffic, and occasional cargo operations. It is a relatively compact facility, well-suited for travellers seeking a less crowded alternative to the larger hubs in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Poznań. The airport primarily connects the region to key European destinations, with routes including London, Munich, Dublin, and seasonal holiday charters to Mediterranean resorts. It is named after Ignacy Jan Paderewski, the renowned Polish pianist and statesman, reflecting the area's cultural heritage.
