Getting There

The airport is connected to central Aomori by a direct bus service operated by Aomori City Bus. The journey takes 35 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs 730 yen one way. Buses run roughly every 30 minutes from early morning until 21:00. The bus stop at the airport is directly outside the arrivals exit. For those driving, the airport is accessible via the Tohoku Expressway (use the Aomori Chuo exit) and then prefectural roads. Parking costs 300 yen per 30 minutes, with a daily maximum of 1,500 yen. Taxis from Aomori Station take about 30 minutes and cost around 4,000 yen. There is no direct train to the airport; the nearest station is Aomori Station, where a shuttle bus connects.

Inside the Terminal

The terminal has two levels. Arrivals and baggage claim are on the first floor, departures on the second. The building is compact and easy to navigate. Check-in desks are arranged in two rows, with security screening central. After security, the domestic departure lounge has seating for about 300, a small convenience store, and vending machines. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The airport provides wheelchair-accessible entrances, toilets, and parking spaces. A changing table is available in the restroom near the entrance. Baggage storage operates on the first floor near the information counter, with rates from 400 yen per day.
