Overview

Aeropuerto Internacional de Occidente (also known as Quetzaltenango Airport) is a regional airport serving the city of Quetzaltenango (commonly called Xela) and the western highlands of Guatemala. It is the second-largest airport in the country after La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, and it provides a vital link for travellers heading to the country's popular destinations such as Lake Atitlán, Antigua, and the many volcanic peaks in the region.
