Super cool small international airport (JBQ) for small or private aircraft. Nice facilities, amenities and layout. Courteous and helpful government and private staff. Easy access to Santo Domingo by land. Taxi transport from and Uber to airport. Shops for sundries, light snacks, wraps, sandwiches and refreshments. Restaurants on second floor. Bank ATM's. Clean bathrooms. Customs office and service (Aduana, in Spanish). Air Century, Aerodom fly in and out. Two thumbs up!
Small International airport. Very basic. You can not ask for much at this airport. At least they have food mart. Try not use the taxi of this airport. After they see you that you're not Dominican, they will sure try to charge you a big amount of money for a ride. Try to look other ways.
Nice and clean airport. Personal is friendly and helpful. The only cons for me is that they are REALLY slow. If you need something - follow them and "push"/disturb them EVERY minute otherwise they will stop to chat with someone or go to drink some coffee.
CAR RENTAL IS NOT HERE - I booked an AVIS car rental online and it gave me this airport's address for pickup/dropoff. I confirmed with the very friendly and helpful staff that they do not rent cars here! AVIS needs to update their information online because this airport is not the correct place.
