We landed here from the Seattle area. The customs process was easy and quick and the airport itself was very nice. On our way back, we had very comfy seats to wait in for our flight.

Victoria Harbour Airport is a unique water airport located in the heart of Victoria, British Columbia, on the Inner Harbour. It primarily serves scheduled floatplane and helicopter operations, providing a quick link between Victoria and Vancouver, as well as other destinations along the coast and to the Gulf Islands. The airport's central location makes it a convenient gateway for travellers arriving into downtown Victoria, within walking distance of many hotels, attractions, and the BC Ferries terminal. Its compact, urban setting means a seamless transition from flight to city streets, with the harbour offering a scenic backdrop.
Victoria Harbour Airport plays a key role in the transportation network of southern Vancouver Island. It provides a vital link for commuters, tourists, and business travellers who need rapid access between Victoria and Vancouver's downtown waterfront. The airport's water-based operations are particularly scenic, offering views of the harbour and the surrounding cityscape. It also supports flights to smaller coastal communities not served by larger airports, acting as a hub for regional air travel. The airport is especially popular for day trips and quick getaways, as flight times to Vancouver are typically under 35 minutes.
Despite its small footprint, Victoria Harbour Airport provides essential facilities for passengers. Confirmed amenities include a wheelchair-accessible car park, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and wheelchair-accessible toilets. Standard washrooms are also available on site. The terminal is designed for efficient boarding and deplaning, with direct access to the floatplane docks. There are no large retail or dining outlets within the terminal itself, but passengers will find a wide variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants within a short walk in downtown Victoria. Luggage storage and other passenger services are not provided at the airport, so travellers should plan accordingly. The airport's compact layout means minimal walking distances, which is convenient for those with mobility concerns or tight connections.
Victoria Harbour Airport is not open 24 hours a day. Operating hours are determined by flight schedules, with peak activity typically occurring in the afternoon around 3 pm and 4 pm. It is advisable to confirm hours of operation with your airline (such as Harbour Air) or check the airport's website for the most current schedule, as hours may vary by season or day of the week. The airport is closed on certain days, though exact details are not specified. Planning ahead is recommended, especially for early morning or late evening flights, as the terminal may not be accessible outside of scheduled flight times.
For general inquiries, passengers can call +1 800-665-0212. More information, including flight schedules, terminal details, and booking, is available on the official Harbour Air website: https://www.harbourair.com/flight-info/flight/locations/victoria-harbour/. The airport does not have a separate terminal phone line; all inquiries are handled by Harbour Air's customer service. For real-time flight updates, it is best to check the website or contact the airline directly.
Victoria Harbour Airport is committed to accessibility for all passengers. The terminal features a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and toilets. The airport's level surfaces and wide pathways make navigation easy for those using wheelchairs or mobility aids. Assistance from airline staff is available upon request. Because the airport uses floatplanes, boarding involves stepping onto a dock and into the aircraft. Passengers with specific accessibility needs should contact Harbour Air in advance to arrange accommodations.
The airport is located at 1000 Wharf Street, on the Inner Harbour. It is easily reachable on foot from downtown hotels and attractions. Taxis, ride-sharing services, and public transit serve the area. There is a limited amount of accessible parking for those driving. The BC Ferries terminal (for walk-on passengers) is a short walk away. For those connecting from Victoria International Airport (YYJ), the journey downtown can be made by bus, taxi, or airport shuttle before arriving at the harbour.
