The airport is within a 20-minute drive from Surfers Paradise and about 25 minutes from Broadbeach. Brisbane is approximately 100 kilometres north, a one-hour drive via the Pacific Motorway (M1). To the south, Byron Bay is about 70 kilometres away, a scenic 50-minute drive.

By Car: The airport is well-connected by road. From the north, follow the Gold Coast Highway or take the M1 exit at Bilinga. There are two paid parking options: a multi-storey car park directly opposite the terminal and a long-term parking lot a short walk away. Both offer wheelchair-accessible spaces.

By Public Transport: The most convenient public transport option is the Surfside Buslines route 777, which runs from Broadbeach South light rail station to the airport every 15-30 minutes during peak times. The journey takes about 30 minutes. The G:link light rail does not directly serve the airport, but you can connect at Broadbeach South. Taxis and rideshare services (Uber, Ola) are readily available; a dedicated pick-up zone is located just outside the arrivals hall.

Interstate Travel: For those driving from Brisbane or further north, the M1 and Gold Coast Highway provide a straightforward route. From northern NSW, the Pacific Highway connects via Tweed Heads.
