Asiana Airlines, designated with IATA code OZ and ICAO code AAR, is a major full-service carrier based in the Republic of Korea. Founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of the Kumho Asiana Group, the airline was established to provide competition in the rapidly expanding South Korean aviation market, which had long been dominated by a single flag carrier. Over the years, Asiana has grown into a globally recognised brand, renowned for its commitment to service excellence and operational safety.
