The cafe/restaurant is closed. Those who are thirsty have to go to the bathroom to drink tap water. Those who are hungry have to wait until they reach their destination. The parking area is not identified, marked horizontally or vertically, and there is no shelter. In winter and summer, vehicles are exposed and passengers are subject to the elements. The fences are in the same condition. There are no security cameras. There are no signs for the airfield on the A4 motorway. But there is no shortage of certificates of conformity. In short... This is just another example of the ineptitude and incompetence of the public administration and the parasites of the political class who insist on governing the country's destiny at an accelerated pace towards disaster with the votes of an illiterate and obscurantist people.
The exterior is a disgrace, it needs to be paved, and where are the trees that are so sorely missed? The few that are there have never been cared for, so they remain stunted.

El Aeropuerto de Leon abrio sus puertas en junio de 1999 y esta situado en la base aerea de la Virgen del Camino, a seis kilometros de distancia de la capital de la provincia. En la actualidad, es un aerodromo utilizado conjuntamente como base militar y aeropuerto abierto al trafico civil. Con el fin de atender la creciente demanda de pasajeros, en octubre de 2005 se inauguraron la ampliacion de la pista, la ampliacion de la plataforma de estacionamiento de aeronaves y la instalacion de un sistema de aterrizaje ILS/I para mejorar la operatividad en condiciones de meteorologia adversa. En diciembre de 2007, se volvio a ampliar la pista. Finalmente, en octubre de 2010 se inauguro el nuevo edificio terminal.
El Aeropuerto de Salamanca esta emplazado en la base aerea abierta al trafico civil de Matacan. Esta situado a quince kilometros al este de la ciudad, en los terminos municipales de Machacon, Calvarrasa de Abajo y Villagonzalo de Tormes. El edificio terminal de pasajeros, inaugurado en octubre de 2005, consta de dos plantas. La planta baja consta de un area de salidas con la zona de facturacion y la zona de embarque; y un area de llegadas con dos cintas de recogida de equipajes.
