Busiest on Mondays around 11 am — usually busy.
A modern and very spacious airport, there is even a children's play zone. Usually there's only a few flights per day so it is not that crowded. Near the entrance is a huge parking lot, for 7 days we paid only 130 zl.
A very modern facility with an ergonomic and intuitive structure. Very convenient for travelers. Ticket prices are also very good. The best airport in this part of Europe.
Great airport! 65 minutes from Warsaw main airport but the travel time compensated by lower ticket prices. I highly recommend it!
Great airport. Super friendly staff and no delays caused, great alternative to Modlin
Lotnisko Warszawa-Radom, commonly known as Radom Airport, is a modern regional airport located near the city of Radom in central Poland. It functions as a secondary gateway for the Warsaw metropolitan area, offering an alternative to the busy Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airport primarily handles charter flights and low-cost carriers, making it a popular choice for leisure travellers heading to Mediterranean holiday destinations, as well as for passengers visiting the Radom region. The terminal is relatively new, having been expanded and modernised to handle commercial traffic, and features a single passenger terminal with all essential services under one roof. While the airport does not have the same volume of traffic as Chopin, it provides a streamlined, less crowded experience for those willing to travel a bit farther from the capital.
Radom Airport is situated about 4 kilometres east of Radom city centre and approximately 100 kilometres south of Warsaw. The airport's address is: Lotnisko Warszawa-Radom, ul. Odlewnicza 600, 26-600 Radom, Poland.
By Car: The airport is easily accessible via the S7 expressway, which connects Warsaw to Radom and further south to Kielce. From Warsaw, the drive takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes under normal traffic. The airport has a paid parking lot with designated spaces for disabled passengers. Parking rates are reasonable compared to larger airports, and the lot is within walking distance of the terminal entrance.
By Public Transport: Public transport options are more limited. Local buses from Radom's main train station and city centre connect to the airport, but services are timed around flights. It is advisable to check the airport's website for current bus schedules. Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Radom and offer a convenient door-to-door option. For those travelling from Warsaw, direct coach services operate on flight days, but many passengers prefer to rent a car or take a train to Radom and then a taxi.
By Train: Radom's main railway station is about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. There are frequent trains from Warsaw to Radom (journey time around 1.5 to 2 hours). From the station, shuttle buses or taxis can complete the journey.
The airport offers a range of amenities focused on accessibility and basic comfort. Confirmed facilities include:
While the airport does not have extensive shopping or dining options, there is a small café and a convenience store for snacks and travel essentials. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal. The airport also features a business lounge (access may be purchased or included with certain tickets), though this is not listed in the confirmed amenities. Passengers should note that the airport is compact, so navigating between check-in, security, and gates is quick.
Radom is a historic city in the Mazovian Voivodeship, known for its industrial heritage and medieval old town. The region is a mix of urban centres and natural landscapes, including the Kozienice Forest and the Vistula River valley. Travellers visit Radom for business (the city has a strong manufacturing and IT sector), to explore its Gothic and Renaissance architecture, or as a stopover en route to other parts of central Poland. The Radom Old Town features the 14th-century Town Hall and the Saint John the Baptist Cathedral. The city also hosts the Radom Air Show, one of Europe's largest air shows, held biennially. For those heading to Warsaw, Radom serves as a convenient base for day trips, allowing visitors to avoid the congestion of the capital. The region is also known for its traditional cuisine, including pierogi and hearty soups, best enjoyed in local restaurants.
The airport does not operate daily; its opening hours correspond to scheduled flight departures and arrivals. Peak hours are typically around 1 pm and 2 pm, when most charter flights are scheduled. Passengers are advised to arrive at least two hours before departure for European flights. Check-in counters and security open accordingly.
