Roskilde Airport is located at the eastern edge of the city of Roskilde, just off the main road to Copenhagen. The airport lies about 6 kilometres from Roskilde city centre and 30 kilometres from central Copenhagen.

By car: The most convenient access is via the E20 motorway (Holbækmotorvejen), taking exit 13 towards Roskilde Øst, then following signs to the airport. On-site parking is available, including designated wheelchair-accessible spaces. From Copenhagen, the drive takes roughly 25–35 minutes depending on traffic.

By public transport: The nearest railway station is Roskilde Station, a major hub served by frequent intercity and regional trains from Copenhagen (about 20 minutes journey). From the station, bus routes 600S or 212 connect to the airport area; the stop ‘Roskilde Airport’ is a short walk from the terminal. Note that bus frequencies may be limited on weekends and outside daytime hours.
