small but rather smooth airport! one ridiculous thing is that they have a counter for mail posting, but don't offer stamps to buy... so i tried the info counter and the bookstores but to no avail. xiamen airlines lounge was okay. comfortable and when i went i had to wait a while for the cooked food to come. at all times there are fruits and simple raw veg for salad. staff at the airport were friendly, and cute!

The airport operates with specific peak periods that travelers should be aware of. The busiest times are at 3 PM and 4 PM, when check-in lines and security queues may be longer. While the airport is open daily, it does not operate 24 hours; passengers are advised to plan their arrival accordingly, especially for early morning or late-night flights. It is recommended to check with the airline for specific check-in times and to arrive at least two hours before domestic departures and three hours before international flights.
For inquiries or assistance, passengers can reach the airport by phone at +86 591 96363. The website is available in Chinese and English, though English content may be more limited. Travelers can also find information on parking, car rentals, and nearby hotels through the site.
The airport terminal is compact and easy to navigate, with all gates and services under one roof. Signage is predominantly in Chinese with some English translations.
