An easy airport to experience, parking is easy, a short trip to town. Beware there are only a few taxis. It is a small regional airport so luggage is quick and the stroll from the terminal to the plane is short, but you will need to take the stairs onto the plane. No shopping and limited refreshments on site. That being said, staff are very friendly and remember you if, say, you leave your jacket on the plane and come to board a week later and there it is waiting for you. A great experience all up

Hugely improved runway and ramp area, hopefully with more flights starting to come in the terminal can have a bit of an upgrade but overall a great little airport.
I didn't have a good experience here. My flight kept getting delayed and the airport didn't notify anyone, we had to find out via an app for the flights. Would not go here again extremely disappointed.

Please note that the airport is not open every day; operations are tied to flight schedules. There is no on-site café or restaurant, but vending machines may be present. Seating is available in the waiting area. The terminal is small and straightforward; security screening is minimal due to the airport’s size and domestic-only traffic. For travellers with mobility needs, the airport provides good accessibility but lacks dedicated assistance services beyond the infrastructure mentioned.
The airport is the primary aerial gateway to the Margaret River wine region, one of Australia’s premier wine-producing areas, famous for its cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc. Beyond wineries, the area is renowned for its stunning coastline – think long sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, and world-class surf breaks such as those at Surfers Point and Yallingup. The Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park offers walking trails through towering karri and jarrah forests, limestone caves like Mammoth Cave and Lake Cave, and dramatic vistas over the Indian Ocean.
Busselton itself boasts the iconic Busselton Jetty, a 1.8 km wooden pier that stretches into Geographe Bay, perfect for walking, cycling, or taking the tourist train. Whale watching is a seasonal attraction (June–December), as humpbacks and southern right whales migrate past the coast. The region is also rich in Aboriginal heritage and features many art galleries, craft breweries, and farm-to-table dining experiences.
Travellers choose this airport for its convenience: it avoids the longer drive from Perth, especially for those staying in the southern part of the region. It is also used by business travellers and FIFO workers connecting to mining sites in the Goldfields, though commercial flights are primarily tourist-oriented.
